Mechanical BIM Engineer
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical BIM modelling, MEP coordination, and engineering consultancy projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong experience in developing mechanical BIM models up to LOD 400, including detailed construction models and shop drawings.
- Proven experience in the preparation and review of mechanical shop drawings, coordinated construction drawings, schedules, and IFC documentation.
- Ability to develop BIM models and detailed drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, LPG (where applicable), and other mechanical systems.
- Strong experience in equipment modelling, ductwork and piping layouts, pipe and duct routing, supports, sleeves, builder’s work coordination, and installation details.
- Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination, clash detection, and coordination with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
- Good knowledge of mechanical design principles, international codes and standards, and UAE authority requirements.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority requirements (DMT, Civil Defense, TAQA, and other relevant authorities) will be an advantage.
- Ability to review and validate BIM models to ensure compliance with project specifications, design standards, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in engineering consultancy projects is mandatory.
