We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical BIM Design Engineer to join our design team.
Job Description:
The Mechanical BIM Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and coordinating mechanical designs for building services using Revit and other BIM tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design, with demonstrable experience in the UAE market and a solid understanding of local codes and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings and BIM models for HVAC, water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with local UAE standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and coordination meetings.
- Support senior engineers in the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and tender documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and contribute to BIM standards and workflows within the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE working on consultancy projects.
- Strong proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM workflows.
- Solid knowledge of UAE regulations, DEWA, DM, and other authority requirements.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of sustainable design (LEED or Estidama experience a plus).
- Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
