The primary purpose of this role is to support Marketing by evaluating commercial performance and understanding consumer behavior. The Strategic Insights Analyst leverages various tools to create reports and deliver insights across categories, channels, and brands. Responsibilities include analyzing large datasets, meeting tight deadlines, and synthesizing insights to support strategic marketing and sales planning, including opportunity identification. The role also involves combining shopper and consumer insights with commercial insights and aligning closely with HQ and market SI functions.

Position:

The Market Intelligence Manager will be responsible for:

Report Creation Expertise: Expert in generating Power

BI and advanced Excel reports using GTR and Domestic data sources (e.g., Pax data, Travel Retail Sales, and consumer data, as well as domestic market tools such as U&A/Tracking studies and Retail Audit data). Recommends enhancements to existing reports and tools to improve insights generation

Insights & Analysis: Analyzes category, shopper, consumer, and sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities for JTI. Connects learnings from multiple sources to extract actionable GTR insights, advising on commercial opportunities and brand strategy based on evolving consumer needs

Stakeholder Engagement: Builds trusted relationships with GTR and JTI partners, advising on strategic directions. Facilitates knowledge sharing on consumer, category, and commercial insights within the GTR community. Contributes to market portfolio optimization and natural demand analysis

Strategic Support: Assists management with annual and strategic planning by providing consumer and category data, as well as insights for key business meetings

Requirements:

University degree (preferred)

5 years of experience in marketing research and data analysis, with cross-cultural exposure. Industry knowledge is a plus

Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage

Advanced proficiency in Power BI report writing & data modeling, Excel (Advanced), Microsoft Office 365 applications, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other information systems

Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of mathematical and statistical methods for data analysis

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership
