We specialize in precision machining, custom heavy component manufacturing, and mechanical repair solutions. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Manual Lathe Machine Operator with extensive workshop experience to join our technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual Lathe Operation: Setup, calibrate, and operate conventional/manual lathe machines to execute turning, facing, thread cutting (Metric & Imperial), boring, and grooving on various industrial metals.
- Blueprint & Sample Interpretation: Read and analyze complex engineering schematics, fabrication drawings, and sample components to determine precise machining sequences and strict tolerances.
- Precision Measurement: Independently inspect and verify raw materials and finished parts using precision tools including micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- Custom Tooling & Rigging: Select proper cutting tools, grind custom lathe tools when needed, and securely set up steady rests and chucks for heavy or irregular workpieces.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily machine lubrication and preventive maintenance; maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating conventional/manual lathe machines in a professional mechanical workshop or heavy industrial engineering setting.
- Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in working with tight tolerances and diverse metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, etc.).
- Location & Mobility: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a transferable visa and valid NOC are strongly preferred for immediate joining.
- Communication: Functional English communication skills for reading job cards and technical instructions.
