Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Chocolate Manufacturing
Location: Ajman, UAE
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of our chocolate manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring maximum equipment uptime across production and packaging lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chocolate production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic PLC-related issues.
- Maintain and repair chocolate processing equipment such as mixers, melters, tempering machines, enrobers, cooling tunnels, depositor systems, and packaging machines.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures.
- Respond promptly to production breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Install, adjust, and calibrate production machinery as required.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.
- Assist in machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Minimum 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment; confectionery or chocolate industry experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic systems, sensors, and packaging equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and electrical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime when required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with chocolate processing and packaging machinery.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
