Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist to join our diesel engine machine shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for crankshaft grinding, engine component machining, inspection, repair, and precision measurement of diesel engine parts. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of engine rebuilding processes and experience operating a variety of machine shop equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision crankshaft grinding, polishing, and journal restoration according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect crankshafts for wear, cracks, damage, and dimensional accuracy before and after machining.
- Operate and maintain crankshaft grinding machines and related machine shop equipment.
- Perform line boring, line honing, cylinder boring, cylinder honing, and resurfacing of engine blocks and cylinder heads.
- Recondition connecting rods, main bearing housings, valve seats, valve guides, and other engine components.
- Machine flywheels, camshafts, engine blocks, cylinder liners, and other diesel engine parts.
- Measure components using micrometers, dial gauges, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, workshop manuals, and machining specifications.
- Maintain machining tolerances and ensure all components meet OEM or customer requirements.
- Assemble and disassemble diesel engine components when required.
- Identify defects and recommend repair or replacement of damaged components.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of workshop machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality control standards.
- Assist other machine shop personnel with engine rebuilding and machining operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, ITI, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a diesel engine machine shop.
- Proven experience in crankshaft grinding and engine component machining.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine rebuilding procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy engine components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with marine, industrial, heavy equipment, or power generation diesel engines.
- Knowledge of engine balancing and alignment.
- Familiarity with welding, metal spraying, and shaft repair techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or lifting equipment safely.
- Basic computer skills for job documentation and reporting.

Pay: AED2,000.00 – AED4,000.00 per month
