Logistics Manager – Yacht & Heavy Equipment TransportationShort Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate all transportation and logistics operations related to yacht hauling, heavy machinery transport, and marine services. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring, and optimizing the entire logistics process, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all yacht and heavy equipment transportation operations.
- Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, routes, permits, escorts, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor and control fleet operations, including vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, mileage tracking, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all transport documentation, permits, customs paperwork, insurance documents, and regulatory requirements are accurate and up to date.
- Develop efficient routing and logistics plans to minimize costs and maximize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with clients, drivers, subcontractors, port authorities, and government agencies when required.
- Monitor transportation expenses and prepare cost-control reports.
- Track shipments and provide regular operational updates to management and clients.
- Implement and maintain logistics procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Investigate operational issues and develop corrective actions to improve performance.
- Maintain records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, fuel usage, driver performance, and transportation activities.
- Manage logistics staff, drivers, and operational support personnel.
- Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and logistics forecasts.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager, Transport Manager, Fleet Manager, or similar role.
- Experience in heavy transport, yacht transportation, marine logistics, or oversized cargo operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, permits, fleet management, and logistics planning.
- Experience managing fuel control systems, mileage tracking, route optimization, and transportation costs.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, logistics software, and reporting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and transportation operations simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
