Legal Manager | Boutique Disputes Practice | Dubai
A boutique disputes practice established in the UAE in 2009, with a track record before the DIFC Courts and in international arbitration under DIAC, LCIA and ICC Rules (including DIAC-administered arbitrations seated in the DIFC), invites applications for the position of Legal Manager.
The role will work directly alongside the Managing Partner in the day-to-day running of the firm, with responsibility for administration, internal workflow, document and file management, and the operational interface between fee-earners, partners and clients.
A legal qualification is not required. We are looking for an experienced professional services manager who understands how a partner-led practice operates and how lawyers, clients and matter teams work together.
Minimum criteria (strictly applied):
– A strong administrative and management background gained at a law firm, or at a comparable professional services organisation (for example, an accountancy firm, audit firm, consultancy or other regulated professional practice).
– A clear understanding of the working relationships between partners, fee-earners, support staff and clients, and of the standards expected in a top-tier professional environment.
– Demonstrable experience of document, file and matter management, including the discipline required to maintain orderly physical and electronic filing across a litigation and arbitration practice.
– Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to run internal processes independently alongside the Managing Partner.
– Currently based in the UAE, or willing to relocate at own cost. This is a local hire; applications from candidates outside the UAE who are not prepared to relocate on this basis will not be considered.
