Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Specialist with expertise in server implementation, virtualization, firewall management and IT security. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of server environments, advanced virtualization technologies and be adept at managing and deploying firewall policies. Additionally, experience with security solutions such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) is essential. This role requires the ability to design, implement and secure complex IT infrastructures while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Server Implementation & Management:
Design, deploy, and manage physical and virtual server infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and high availability.
Implement and maintain server configurations, ensuring they are aligned with security best practices.
Troubleshoot server issues and provide proactive solutions to prevent downtime or performance degradation.
Virtualization Management:
Implement and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to support resource optimization and cost-effective IT operations.
Manage virtual machine lifecycles, including provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and resource allocation.
Ensure efficient use of virtualized environments through capacity planning and resource monitoring.
Firewall Policy Management:
Deploy, configure, and maintain firewalls (hardware and software), ensuring proper implementation of security policies to protect internal networks and systems.
Review, optimize, and update firewall policies to maintain network security and accommodate changing network environments.
Troubleshoot firewall-related issues and work closely with security and network teams to resolve them effectively.
IT Security Management:
Administer and manage advanced IT security solutions, such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR).
Configure, monitor, and analyze security alerts to identify and respond to potential security threats.
Implement proactive security measures to safeguard endpoints, network, and server environments.
Incident Detection & Response:
Respond to and investigate security incidents detected by EDR, XDR, and firewall systems.
Conduct root cause analysis, provide timely remediation actions, and collaborate with other IT teams to mitigate risks.
Maintain incident response documentation and assist in improving security incident protocols.
Policy and Compliance:
Develop, enforce, and continuously review security policies and best practices for firewall configurations, server management, and IT security.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational security requirements.
Collaborate with the security and compliance teams to ensure that IT infrastructure meets regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with network engineers, security analysts, and other technical teams to ensure the alignment of IT systems and security measures.
Document configurations, security policies, firewall rules, and incident response actions for auditing and future reference.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on best practices for managing IT security and infrastructure.
Continuous Improvement:
Keep up with the latest developments in server management, virtualization, and cybersecurity to ensure best practices are implemented.
Continuously evaluate security technologies and tools to improve the organization’s security posture.
Recommend improvements to existing processes and workflows to enhance system efficiency, security, and scalability.
Qualifications:
BE, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in server implementation and management (both physical and virtualized environments).
Strong expertise in firewall configuration, management, and policy deployment.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with EDR and XDR solutions for threat detection and response.
Familiarity with network protocols, security technologies (IDS/IPS, VPNs), and IT security frameworks.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server infrastructure, firewall configurations, and security tools.
Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, CISA) are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud environments and security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, O365 & M365).
Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
