About The Role
Responsible to oversee the receipt, storage, requisitioning and monitoring of uniform items, supplies and materials relevant in the process of store keeping. Performs a full range of store keeping assignments based on existing policies and procedures. Responsible to maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace environment allowing quick and easy access to uniform items.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
Monitor unloading / offloading of uniform items, materials, supplies, etc. from trucks by hand-operated or motorized equipment.
Open, time-stamp, separate and distribute incoming uniform materials to store rooms and stock materials according to a described inventory system.
Verify uniform request form to ensure uniform requisition from the store / staff number is accurate as per entitlement. Also, upload data and edit stock orders in computerized inventory system.
Participate in inventory stock counts, track and maintain stock levels for all uniform items. To provide suggestions for future ordering to Uniform Officer in order to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and avoid over ordering or shortage of any uniform items.
Ensure that all products are being moved into proper storerooms within an acceptable time frame to ensure seamless flow of standard operating procedures.
Works in close co-operation with Departments Head and keeps control over items in stock, by regularly updating and maintaining the database with stock levels to avoid any discrepancies/ loss of items.
Assist with the calculation in ordered to ensure that all order forecasts and projections are based on length of voyage.
Supervise and trains Uniform Assistant by ensuring all standard operating procedures are practiced and report any deviations along with a justification where applicable to the Line Manager in order to initiate corrective action or enhancement in procedures to ensure exemplary services are provided to all Qatar Airways uniform staff.
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
About You
High school graduate with minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
Able to communicate well in the English language
Airline, Retail, Hotel, Travel and Tourism experience
Physical ability to move stock
Experience in Inventory, warehousing and logistics management and overall, in store keeping
