Launch Manager Jobs in Doha at Elevion Group

The Launch Manager owns the end-to-end pre-opening build-out and commercial launch of a new coffee shop outlet of Arcan Group / Elevion Holding, and transitions into full operational accountability once trading begins. The role is accountable for three outcomes: (1) a fully compliant, licensed, and operationally ready outlet on the agreed launch date, (2) documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) covering every functional area of the outlet, and (3) achievement of the first 90-day and steady-state sales targets. This is a hands-on, hybrid project-management and commercial-operations role not a general F&B supervisory position requiring direct ownership of Qatar regulatory compliance, vendor management, staff readiness, and revenue performance.

  • Stock Receiving, Storage & FIFO Rotation
  • HACCP Food Safety Plan (temperature logs, allergen control, pest control, cleaning schedule)
  • Guest Service & Complaint Resolution Script
  • Incident, Accident & Emergency Response Procedure (including fire evacuation)
  • New Hire Onboarding & Competency Sign-Off Checklist
  • Supplier Ordering & Wastage Tracking Template
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Sales & Compliance Reporting Templates
  • Author and test the outlet’s full SOP library, including: opening and closing checklists, cash-handling and POS reconciliation, barista production and quality standards (recipe cards, portioning, milk/dosing calibration), stock receiving and FIFO storage, HACCP-based food safety procedures (temperature logs, allergen handling, cleaning schedules), guest service and complaint-handling scripts, and incident/emergency response procedures.
  • Configure and test the POS system, integrating pricing, promotions, loyalty mechanics (if applicable), and daily sales reporting before soft opening.
  • Set up inventory management and supplier ordering cycles, including minimum/maximum stock levels and wastage-tracking templates.
  • Run a minimum of one full dry-run/soft-opening simulation with the complete team before public launch, and correct any gaps identified.
  • Manage fit-out contractors, kitchen equipment suppliers, and furniture/fixture vendors against the launch timeline; escalate delays that threaten the committed opening date.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on the soft-launch and grand-opening plan, opening promotions, and local community/corporate outreach (e.g. Qatar Living, Facebook community groups, LinkedIn, and on-site signage) to drive Week 1 footfall.
  • Own the pre-opening budget line for the outlet and report variances against the approved launch budget.
  • Personally lead floor operations for the first two weeks of trading, resolving service, staffing, or equipment issues in real time.
  • Monitor daily sales, footfall, and average transaction value against launch-week targets; adjust staffing and promotions to correct shortfalls immediately.
  • Conduct daily shift debriefs during the launch window to capture and fix operational gaps before they recur.
  • Confirm all regulatory certificates are physically displayed as required (trade license, food permit, price list) before the first paying customer is served.
  • Own the outlet P&L: revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), labour cost percentage, and controllable costs, reporting monthly against the approved business case.
  • Drive sales-building initiatives loyalty programmes, corporate/B2B partnerships (aligned with Arcan Group’s Sales & Corporate Partnership function), seasonal promotions, and Ramadan/holiday trading adjustments to hit and exceed target.
  • Lead ongoing team performance management, coaching, and succession planning for the outlet team, in coordination with HR.
  • Maintain continuous regulatory compliance: permit renewals, food handler card renewals, fire safety re-certification, and MOPH re-inspections, tracked on a renewal calendar with no lapses.
  • Project management discipline: able to hold a launch-date critical path with multiple external vendors and regulatory dependencies.
  • Commercial numeracy: comfortable owning a P&L, reading COGS and labour cost percentages, and adjusting operational levers to hit targets.
  • Regulatory fluency: able to independently track and close out compliance requirements without hand-holding from Legal.
  • Hands-on floor leadership: willing to work the bar and the floor personally during launch week, not only manage from an office.
  • Written documentation skill: able to produce clear, testable SOPs that a new hire can follow without additional verbal explanation.
  • Bilingual Arabic/English is an advantage, particularly for supplier, Municipality, and local customer-facing interactions.
