Larval Rearing Technician Jobs in Umm al-Quwain City at Gulf Aquaculture
A Larval Rearing Technician is responsible for supporting the hatchery team in the daily care, monitoring, and rearing of aquatic larvae under controlled conditions. The role focuses on maintaining larval health, water quality, feeding schedules, tank hygiene, and accurate recordkeeping to help achieve survival, growth, and production targets.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily larval rearing activities according to hatchery and biosecurity procedures.
- Prepare and administer live feed and other approved diets based on the production schedule.
- Monitor larval behavior, feeding response, stocking density, and general health condition.
- Check and record water quality parameters such as temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and pH.
- Clean tanks, equipment, pipelines, and work areas to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
- Assist in tank preparation, grading, transfer, harvesting, and counting of larvae when required.
- Report mortality, abnormal behavior, disease signs, or system issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper hatchery records for feed usage, water quality, treatments, and daily observations.
- Follow health, safety, and biosecurity standards at all times.
- Support other hatchery operations as assigned by the supervisor or hatchery manager.
Pay: Up to AED3,000.00 per month

- Larval Rearing Technician: 2 years (Preferred)
