Job Summary
The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise measurements and mapping of land and construction sites to support building, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects. The role ensures accurate setting out, boundary verification, and topographical surveys in accordance with project requirements, drawings, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction surveys on-site.
- Perform setting out for buildings, roads, utilities, and infrastructure works.
- Establish and verify control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates.
- Take accurate measurements of land features, elevations, and site conditions.
- Prepare and update survey reports, sketches, and field notes.
- Assist engineers and site teams with layout and alignment of structures.
- Verify construction works against approved drawings and specifications.
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Leveling equipment).
- Record and process survey data using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other software.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards and tolerances.
- Identify and report discrepancies between design and site conditions.
- Maintain proper calibration and care of survey equipment.
- Follow company safety rules and site HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in construction projects.
- Experience in building, infrastructure, road, or utility projects.
- Proficiency in surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, Digital Level).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and surveying software.
- Strong understanding of coordinates, levels, and construction drawings.
- Ability to work in outdoor site conditions.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
Preferred
- Experience in GCC construction projects (Saudi Arabia preferred).
- Familiarity with international surveying standards.
- Valid driving license.
