Job Description
The role holder is responsible for carrying out service field activities (preventive maintenance, callback attendance, planned/unplanned repair works, modernization, etc.) within the assigned territory/route. Duties shall be performed in accordance with business policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and other contractual works of assigned units as per the route chart.
Conduct adjustments and repairs (planned & unplanned) for Otis products within the area, with minimal assistance from the Team Lead – Mechanic.
Attend to equipment call-backs, conduct inspections, and fault finding to restore service.
Identify and report abnormalities, missing components, safety concerns, and generate upselling opportunities.
Coordinate with Otis Line Operators to ensure callbacks meet service level agreements.
Complete timesheets, log cards, maintenance forms, and related documentation timely.
Operate within client site rules, escalating conflicts as needed, and adhere to safety guidelines.
Ensure all operations follow Otis safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Support junior colleagues at client sites to develop their skills.
Report accidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions impacting safety.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years experience in the elevator industry.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing elevators and escalators.
Diploma or equivalent education.
Good communication skills.
