Job Summary
Vision Catalyst Construction LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with 5 years of UAE construction experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, subcontractor coordination, and procurement activities for building and civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Measure work completed and prepare interim payment applications.
- Review subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Assist in contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants regarding quantity-related matters.
- Prepare and maintain project cost reports and material tracking.
- Source construction materials and obtain quotations from suppliers.
- Negotiate prices and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
- Ensure procurement complies with project specifications and company procedures.
- Assist in cost control and budget monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Experience in procurement of construction materials and subcontractor packages.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with UAE construction contracts and procurement practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Valid UAE Driving Licence is preferred.
