Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Junior Pizza Chef to join our pre-opening takeaway pizza shop in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have basic experience in pizza preparation, be eager to learn, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Italian-style pizza making is a strong advantage. Basic POS (Point of Sale) system knowledge is also preferred to support takeaway operations when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and fresh ingredients according to company standards.
- Assemble and bake high-quality pizzas while maintaining consistency.
- Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries.
- Support takeaway operations during busy periods, including basic POS transactions when required.
- Work closely with the team to ensure a smooth pre-opening and daily operation.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a pizza shop, café, or restaurant kitchen.
- Knowledge of Italian-style pizza making is a strong advantage.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced takeaway environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
