Job Title: Junior Electrical Sales Engineer Job Description
A Junior Electrical Sales Engineer supports the sales team by combining technical knowledge with customer interaction. The role involves promoting and selling electrical products or solutions, understanding client requirements, and assisting in preparing proposals and quotations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and approach potential clients (contractors, consultants, industries)
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable electrical products or systems
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders
- Assist senior sales engineers in closing deals and achieving sales targets
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and provide after-sales support
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, logistics)
- Attend site visits, meetings, and product presentations
- Keep up-to-date with products, market trends, and competitors
- Maintain sales records and update CRM systems
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems (switchgear, panels, cables, transformers, etc.)
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Sales Skills:
- Interest in sales and business development
- Basic understanding of quotations, pricing, and negotiation
Software Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- AutoCAD or similar tools (preferred)
- CRM software (a plus)
Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for client visits
- Valid driver’s license (often required)
