Joinery & Fit-Out Technical Draftsman / Quantity Surveyor

We are a joinery manufacturing and fit-out contracting company in Dubai, specializing in high-end interior design, joinery, and turnkey fit-out projects.
We are looking for a Draftsman / Quantity Surveyor join our team , an integral part of our Admin. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills combined with experience in quantity take-offs, costing, BOQs, material calculations, and project administration.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Technical
* Prepare detailed joinery and fit-out shop drawings based on design drawings and site requirements.
* Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, and fabrication drawings.
* Prepare drawings for wardrobes, doors, kitchens, wall cladding, vanities, furniture, and other joinery items.
* Coordinate drawings with the design, production, site, and project management teams.
* Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies before production or installation.
* Revise drawings according to site conditions, client comments, and project requirements.
* Prepare as-built drawings when required.
Quantity Surveying & Commercial
* Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
* Prepare BOQs and material quantity schedules for joinery and fit-out works.
* Calculate quantities for materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories.
* Assist in preparing quotations, variations, and cost estimates.
* Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Assist with procurement and material requirements.
* Track project quantities, costs, and variations.
Administration & Project Support
* Maintain organized project documentation, drawings, BOQs, quotations, and material schedules.
* Assist the project and commercial teams with daily administrative requirements.
* Prepare material/order lists and coordinate requirements between the office, factory, and site.
* Follow up on drawing approvals, material approvals, and project documentation.
* Prepare regular quantity and project status reports.
* Coordinate with the factory and site teams to ensure drawings and quantities match actual requirements.
Requirements
* 2–5 years of relevant experience in joinery, fit-out, interior contracting, or a similar field.
* Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Experience preparing joinery/shop drawings is highly preferred.
* Experience with quantity take-offs, BOQs, costing, and variations.
* Good understanding of joinery materials, hardware, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to read and understand architectural, interior design, and MEP drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
* Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
* Good organizational and administrative skills.
* Ability to coordinate effectively between design, factory, procurement, commercial, and site teams.
* UAE experience in fit-out or joinery is preferred.

We are looking for someone who is technical, organized, commercially minded, and detail-oriented — someone who can work independently on drawings and quantities while also supporting the administrative and commercial side of our projects.
