LORJ INDUSTRIES LLC is a leading joinery and interior fit-out company specializing in high-quality custom woodwork, cabinetry, and bespoke joinery solutions. We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsman to join our growing team.
Job Summary
The Joinery Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, production drawings, and detailed joinery layouts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of joinery manufacturing and experience coordinating with design, production, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings using AutoCAD.
- Interpret architectural and interior design drawings and convert them into production-ready shop drawings.
- Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and BOQs as required.
- Coordinate with project managers, production, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and smooth project execution.
- Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site requirements.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation.
- Support the production team with technical clarifications during manufacturing and installation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman in the joinery or interior fit-out industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Experience with SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, or similar software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of joinery detailing, cabinetry, woodworking materials, hardware, and production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- UAE/GCC experience in joinery and interior fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of CNC manufacturing and production processes.
- Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory.
