We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the restaurant industry or similar business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. This role requires expertise in restaurant financial management, including cost control, inventory accounting, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets.
Monitor revenue, expenses, and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
Conduct variance analysis and recommend cost-saving measures.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Restaurant-Specific Accounting:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments.
Handle inventory accounting, including cost of goods sold (COGS) and food/beverage cost control.
Track and reconcile daily sales, cash deposits, and credit card transactions.
Oversee payroll processing, tips distribution, and employee benefits calculations.
Compliance & Taxation:
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and payroll taxes.
Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, corporate tax, and employee withholdings.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during financial audits.
Operational & Strategic Support:
Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
Work closely with restaurant management to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Assist in financial decision-making for menu pricing, vendor negotiations, and capital investments.
Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Xero)
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
5+ years of accounting experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, etc.).
Strong knowledge of restaurant financial operations, including COGS, inventory, and payroll.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems and integrating financial data.
Knowledge of food and beverage cost control strategies.
Familiarity with multi-location restaurant accounting.

Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
