About the Role:
A well-established British curriculum school in Dubai is seeking an outstanding Computer Science / IT Teacher to join its Secondary Department.
The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including GCSE and A Level, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ computational thinking, programming skills, digital literacy and problem-solving abilities while preparing them for excellent external examination outcomes.
We are looking for a motivated educator who combines strong subject expertise with effective classroom practice and is committed to continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science and/or Information Technology across Key Stage 3–5, including GCSE and A Level.
- Deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the British curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations through rigorous planning, assessment and feedback.
- Monitor student progress using assessment data to inform teaching and intervention.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
- Integrate modern educational technologies and AI tools appropriately to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental improvement planning and whole-school initiatives.
- Support students through extracurricular opportunities such as coding, robotics, AI, programming or other technology-related activities where appropriate.
- Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including meetings, professional development and pastoral responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computing, Software Engineering, or another qualification accepted by KHDA as relevant to the subject taught.
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Successful secondary teaching experience within a British curriculum school, preferably including GCSE and/or A Level.
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and external examination requirements.
- Excellent classroom management, communication and assessment skills.
- Experience teaching programming and core computing concepts will be an advantage.
- Confidence in integrating emerging technologies, including AI, into teaching and learning is desirable.
Requirements for Appointment:
The successful candidate must be able to provide the academic and employment documentation required for KHDA approval, including attested qualifications, complete university transcripts, experience certificates, UAE Ministry of Education Degree Equivalency (where applicable), and any other documents required by the regulatory authorities.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory reference, safeguarding and background checks, together with successful KHDA approval.
Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED5,500.00 per month
