Desktop IT Support Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Type: 1-Year Contract (Extendable)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Desktop IT Support Engineer to provide end-user technical support for a leading client in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, Microsoft Windows environments, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide desktop support and hardware break-fix services, including complete hardware replacement where required.
- Deliver deskside support to end users and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, smartphones, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices.
- Support Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Diagnose basic network connectivity issues involving LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and VLAN environments.
- Perform hardware installations, moves, additions, and changes.
- Manage IT assets, including asset tagging, inventory tracking, and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate repairs and warranty services with external hardware vendors.
- Maintain on-site spare equipment and prepare inventory reports.
- Follow IT support processes, documentation, and escalation procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting end users, executives, and VIP users.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Desktop/IT Support experience.
- Strong experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and end-user devices.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and VLAN.
- Experience with hardware diagnostics, installation, and asset management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Hindi-speaking candidates are preferred due to client communication requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates currently residing in the UAE.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period.
- Candidates currently based in India with strong Desktop/IT Support experience and willingness to relocate are also encouraged to apply.
