Wolu Uganda is a dynamic player in the global trade and logistics landscape. As we strengthen our operations in Ar-Rayyan, we are seeking a strategic Internal Audit Manager to serve as the ultimate architect of our risk management and internal control systems.
In this high-impact role, you won’t just be reviewing the past—you’ll be protecting our future. You will lead the audit function to ensure that our cross-border operations remain transparent, compliant, and optimized for maximum efficiency.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Audit Leadership: Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive internal audit strategy that covers financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- System Integrity: Evaluate the robustness of our internal controls, specifically focusing on supply chain logistics, international trade finance, and vendor management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all Ar-Rayyan and international operations adhere to Qatari laws and global trade standards.
- Process Optimization: Identify "leaks" in the system and recommend process improvements that drive cost-savings and operational agility.
- Board Reporting: Present independent, objective reports to the Executive Committee, providing clear visibility into the company’s risk profile.
- Team Mentorship: Lead and develop a high-performing audit team, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous professional development.
Your Professional Profile
- The Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certification is mandatory (CIA, CPA, or ACCA).
- The Experience: At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. Experience in logistics or international trade is highly valued.
- The Mindset: A rare blend of "big picture" strategic thinking and "micro-level" attention to detail.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in data analytics tools and advanced ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- The Communicator: Fluent in English with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of Arabic or regional dialects is a distinct advantage.
