Position: Â Intern – Project Engineer (World Crane Services) – UAE National Role
Thepurposeof a Project Engineer-Trainee role is to provide a structured learning experience that prepares individuals for a successful career in engineering by combining practical experience with theoretical knowledge. The trainee will work closely with our experienced engineers or managers to assist them in various tasks related to project planning, design, implementation, and evaluation. They may be involved in conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Act as an ambassador for DP World, promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s principles, values, and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
The role includes:
Hands-on experienceand training in engineering principles andproject managementmethodologies, including planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects from start to finish.
Applying theoretical knowledge gained through academic coursework to real-world engineering projects, developing practical skills andproblem-solvingabilities.
Providing support to project teams by drafting project plans, creating schedules, tracking progress, and coordinating with suppliers and clients to gain insight into managingmultidisciplinaryprojects.
Assisting in ensuring that engineering projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and quality requirements, including conducting inspections, performing tests, and documenting results.
Identifying areas for improvement within existing processes and procedures and proposinginnovative solutionsto enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Networking with other business units within the organization and the industry for futurecareer growthand development.
QUALIFICATIONS,
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Degree in Electrical/Electronics/CommunicationEngineering or equivalent.
Added advantage if projects have been performed in the following areas:
Power electronics and Logic gates
Power systems and Electrical engineering
Control systems and flow charts
Team player with goodcommunication skillsand logical thinking.
Note:This is a UAE National Role.
