Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the interior design team, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure project excellence.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences, translating these into compelling design concepts.
- Develop detailed design plans using industry-standard software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Oversee drafting and technical documentation processes, including creating construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers during renovation, remodeling, and construction phases to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards; utilize project management tools for tracking progress.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, quality control checks, lighting sales consultations, and verifying adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare presentations for clients using Adobe Photoshop or 3ds Max to showcase design concepts vividly.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards throughout all phases of work.
- Support sales efforts by providing expert advice on lighting design and interior finishes that enhance client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in interior design supervision or a similar leadership role within the industry.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D (3ds Max), Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, color theory, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), lighting design principles, and construction processes.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with contracts management, budgeting procedures, renovation workflows, remodeling projects and lighting sales strategies.
- Knowledge of interior design trends combined with technical expertise in lighting solutions and remodeling techniques is highly desirable.
