We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Online Travel Agency Creator to design, develop, and launch an innovative online travel agency (OTA). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the travel industry, a strong background in e-commerce and digital platforms, and a passion for creating a seamless, user-friendly experience for travelers. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of the platform from concept through to execution, and to ensure its ongoing growth and success in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create and Launch the OTA Platform: Lead the development of an online travel agency platform that includes booking systems for flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and vacation packages. Oversee the full lifecycle of the project, from concept to launch.
· Platform Design and User Experience: Ensure the platform is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and optimized for a smooth user experience across desktop and mobile devices. Collaborate with design teams to create an intuitive and engaging interface.
· Vendor Partnerships & Content Management: Establish relationships with key travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and local tour operators. Negotiate deals and incorporate their offerings into the platform. Manage content, including product descriptions, images, and videos.
· Online Payment Integration: Implement secure and reliable online payment systems that support multiple payment options for users across different regions and currencies.
· Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and potential gaps in the market. Use insights to refine offerings and ensure the platform remains competitive.
· Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to create strategies to promote the platform, attract new customers, and increase conversion rates. Utilize digital marketing channels such as SEO, SEM, social media, influencer partnerships, and email campaigns.
· Customer Support & Feedback Management: Design a robust system for customer support, addressing inquiries related to bookings, cancellations, refunds, and other travel-related issues. Collect user feedback and use it to improve platform features and services.
· Analytics & Performance Tracking: Monitor platform performance, user engagement, and transaction data. Use analytics tools to measure KPIs such as traffic, bookings, conversion rates, and customer retention. Provide regular reports to senior management.
· Compliance & Regulations: Ensure the platform complies with industry standards, data protection laws (such as GDPR), and local regulations in all target markets.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven experience in e-commerce, digital platform development, or online travel agency management.
· Strong understanding of the travel industry, including relationships with airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and tour operators.
· Proficient in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or custom solutions).
· Experience with booking systems integration, payment gateways, and API integration.
· Experience in digital marketing, especially for travel and tourism businesses, and familiarity with SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
· Project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time.
· Creative mindset with strong attention to detail in design, functionality, and user experience.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and internal teams.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with travel management software, CRM systems, and customer engagement tools.
· Familiarity with travel industry trends, especially in online booking behaviors, mobile booking trends, and the growing demand for personalized travel experiences.
· Knowledge of multi-currency payments and travel-specific security measures.
· A data-driven mindset, with the ability to use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and others to track performance and optimize user experience.
