HSE Specialist Jobs in Doha at CRAIG INTERNATIONAL FOR TRADING IN OIL FIELD EQUIPMENT
Overview Lead and support health, safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce incidents, and promote a safety-first culture across projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safe work permits.
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA/JSA), and HSE audits/inspections; produce corrective action plans.
- Monitor compliance with Qatari regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001); keep permits and licenses current.
- Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, inductions, and emergency response drills; maintain training records.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive actions; prepare incident reports and statistics.
- Manage contractor safety performance and pre-qualification; conduct site HSE orientations.
- Coordinate emergency response, first aid, spill response and evacuation plans; liaise with local authorities when required.
- Maintain environmental monitoring (waste, emissions, water management) and reporting.
- Track HSE KPIs, prepare management reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support permit-to-work systems, PPE programs, and occupational health surveillance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
- 3–7 years HSE experience, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects in the GCC.
- Certified safety professional credentials (NEBOSH International, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of local Qatari HSE regulations and international HSE standards.
- Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and delivering HSE training.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: NEBOSH IGC, Lead Auditor (ISO 45001/14001), First Aid/CPR instructor.
- Arabic language skills or prior experience working in the Middle East.
- Experience with environmental permitting, waste management, and HSE management systems (HSE-MS).
