A Housekeeping Manager supports all Housekeeping and Laundry operations, including developing team members, to provide an exceptional guest experience.
What will I be doing?
As a Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee housekeeping operations, assist the Executive Housekeeper, and monitor standards. Your responsibilities include:
Overseeing Housekeeping/Laundry operations
Managing budgets, stock, and schedules
Supporting departmental targets, policies, and procedures
Maintaining high standards in Housekeeping and Laundry as per brand standards
Performing inspections and reporting issues
Implementing policies, including Health and Safety
Monitoring team appearance, standards, and performance
Ensuring team knowledge on room categories and amenities
Supporting communication and relationships within the hotel and with external partners
Providing ongoing training
Conducting communication meetings
Managing staff performance issues
Training and developing the team
Deputising for the Executive Housekeeper
Supporting other departments as needed
What are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervision
A high school certificate or equivalent
Strong commercial awareness and cost control skills
Basic proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high customer service standards
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different situations
Knowledge of Workplace, Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards
A passion for guest service
Preferred additional capabilities include:
Familiarity with Property Management Systems
Experience managing a department and P&L
High IT proficiency
