Hot & Cold Insulator – Job Description Position: Hot & Cold Insulator Key Responsibilities: Install thermal insulation for hot and cold piping, equipment, tanks, vessels, ducts, and pipelines. Read and understand insulation drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Measure, cut, shape, and install insulation materials accurately. Work with materials such as mineral wool, rock wool, calcium silicate, fiberglass, PIR/PUR, and elastomeric insulation. Install aluminum/GI/stainless-steel cladding and jacketing over insulation. Apply vapor barriers and weatherproofing for cold insulation systems. Ensure proper insulation thickness, joints, sealing, and finishing. Remove and replace damaged or old insulation when required. Use hand tools and power tools safely. Inspect completed insulation work and correct defects. Follow QHSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and PPE standards. Maintain a clean and safe working area. Requirements: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Hot & Cold Insulator. Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial project experience preferred. Good knowledge of hot and cold insulation systems. Ability to read basic drawings and take measurements. Ability to work at heights and in outdoor/site conditions. Qatar/Oil & Gas site experience is an advantage. Relevant safety certificates are an advantage.
