Job Title: Category Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to oversee our product categories within the pharmaceutical, beauty, and personal care sectors. The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing the product assortment, and ensuring the growth and profitability of the category. The role is for a digital economy venture, and experience with ecommerce platforms in the region will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business goals, including sourcing, pricing, and product selection across categories in beauty and personal care.
Manage the product assortment, including product selection, vendor relations, and inventory management.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and market positioning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to drive category performance.
Monitor and optimize pricing strategies to maintain competitive positioning and profitability.
Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to secure the best terms, pricing, and product quality.
Work with the product development team to introduce new and innovative products to the category.
Analyse and report on category performance, sales trends, and KPIs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
Proven experience in category management, product selection, pricing, and sourcing within the pharmaceutical, beauty, or personal care industry.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in data analysis and using tools like Excel or analytics software.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of local and international regulations in the pharmaceutical and personal care sectors (a plus).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED15,000.00 – AED20,000.00 per month
