Key Responsibilities:
Operation of Lowbed Trailer: Operate lowbed trucks and trailers to transport oversized or heavy loads, ensuring safe and secure loading, unloading, and transportation.
Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect the lowbed trailer and associated equipment before, during, and after use to ensure they are in safe working condition. Perform basic maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.
Load Securement: Ensure that all loads are properly secured using chains, straps, or other securing methods to prevent shifting during transit. Follow load-bearing limits and safety protocols.
Route Planning: Plan the route to ensure it is suitable for carrying large or heavy equipment. This may involve coordinating with local authorities for permits and road restrictions.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe loading and unloading procedures, and ensuring that transportation of materials meets legal weight and size regulations.
Communication: Coordinate with supervisors, site managers, and other team members to ensure smooth transport and delivery of equipment. Communicate potential obstacles, delays, or hazards during transportation.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered during transit.
Problem-Solving: Handle unexpected challenges like mechanical failures or road conditions, ensuring minimal disruption to the schedule.
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and endorsements as required.
Proven experience operating a lowbed trailer or similar heavy equipment transportation vehicle.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to transporting oversized loads.
Ability to read maps, follow instructions, and plan transportation routes.
Basic mechanical knowledge for conducting equipment inspections and minor repairs.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and operate the vehicle for long hours.
Physical stamina to inspect equipment, load and unload heavy materials, and handle manual labor when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED3,300.00 – AED3,500.00 per month
