Job Description
A major global brand is seeking a Head of Buying to lead their womenswear category (USD 300 million+ turnover). The role is suitable for someone with experience in this category, preferably within large format commercial high street retail, and who is willing to explore an emerging market.
What will be your role?
Lead the entire category from a product strategy perspective
Responsible for key commercial metrics such as margins, turnover, costs, and lead times
Act as the brand ambassador for this category to key stakeholders including vendors, design teams, marketing, visual, retail, and the Board
Manage budgets, P&L, and OTB
Build and mentor a high-performing team
Develop strategic relationships with vendors and foster loyalty through effective supplier management models
Set benchmarks in quality, ethics, and product excellence
Lead turnaround and turnkey projects, such as revamping brand image or perception
Who are you?
Senior buying leader with a strong background in commercial high street womenswear, ideally in the UK or Europe
Highly commercial with strong negotiation skills
Capable of implementing international standards and product benchmarks in a growing market
Willing to relocate and commit to the role in Dubai
