Job Summary:
The Gypsum Board Installer is responsible for installing gypsum board systems, including partitions, ceilings, drywall, and decorative gypsum works, in accordance with project drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Install gypsum board partitions, ceilings, and drywall systems according to approved drawings and specifications.
Measure, cut, and fit gypsum boards accurately.
Assemble and install metal framing and suspension systems.
Apply joint tape, filler, and finishing compounds to achieve smooth surfaces.
Repair damaged gypsum boards and perform maintenance work as required.
Read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and project deadlines.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in gypsum board installation or drywall systems.
Good knowledge of gypsum board materials, metal framing, and finishing techniques.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
Physically fit and able to work at heights when required.
Skills
Expertise in gypsum board installation and finishing.
Knowledge of metal framing systems.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
Time management and teamwork skills.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed on construction and fit-out sites.
Requires standing, lifting materials, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various site conditions.
Overtime may be required based on project schedules.
