Job Title: Gynecologist / Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN)
Job Summary:
A Gynecologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and conditions related to the female reproductive system. The role includes providing routine gynecological care, reproductive health services, prenatal and postnatal care, and performing surgical procedures when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine gynecological examinations and screenings.
- Diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system.
- Provide family planning and contraceptive counseling.
- Monitor and manage pregnancies, childbirth, and postpartum care (if practicing obstetrics).
- Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries.
- Interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic results.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, disease prevention, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with medical standards, regulations, and ethical practices.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent).
- Completion of residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid medical license and board certification (as required by local regulations).
- Strong clinical and surgical skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
