Job Summary

Works across multiple entities with diverse operations. Manages responsibilities through a team of Finance Managers, Accountants and support staff. The role requires a hands-on approach with specific responsibilities for cash flow management, group accounting and management & statutory reporting. Work according to agreed business reporting and statutory timeframes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

► Provide excellent leadership and management of Corporate Accounting, measured by the effectiveness, engagement and business units in respect of the team.

► Build productive working relationships with stakeholders in order to understand their business operations, value addition cycle and the financial information needs of end users.

► Manage relationships with others across the Group to achieve alignment in key business strategies and decisions.

► Manage the Group’s cash flows within available facilities, providing appropriate reports to Group CFO.

► Manage the Group’s financial reporting obligations, with responsibility for preparation and lodgment of compliant full year and quarterly consolidated accounts.

► Work closely with Statutory Auditors to finalize the audit and issuing the financials as per the deadlines stipulated by the management.

► Manage the Group’s statutory taxation obligations (including Zakat, VAT, Withholding Tax, Customs duty draw back etc.), with responsibility for preparation and lodgment as per the GAZIT stipulations.

► Collaborate, design, implement and review finance systems, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and contemporary relevant practices.

► Oversee finance systems managing transaction flows from source through interfaces to general ledger.

► Ensure finance ledgers are maintained on a timely basis, are accurate and complete, and structured for the dual purpose of providing relevant information to internal users and meeting statutory obligations.

► Ensure reporting functions and responses to ad hoc requests for financial related information are appropriately delivered.

► Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecast for holding company entities.

► Competent to make financial projections for 3 to 5 years at time.

► Must be conversant in making the capital investment evaluations (IRR, NPV Payback period etc.)

► Perform the management of accounting function for holding company entities.

► Consolidation of Group accounts as per the IFRS guidelines.

► Able to identify, asses and report to the GCFO, all risks associated with the group of companies.

► Undertake a range of other activities within the Corporate Finance function, in conjunction with other Finance staff, such as maintenance of consolidated key finance activities (e.g. asset financing); governance/internal control activities; business administration or insurance management.

► Address the queries raised by the internal auditors and assist in providing accurate information to them accordingly.

► Additional duties as directed by CFO.

► Management and statutory accounts preparation

► Consolidation of group accounts.

► Ensure that the IFRS guidelines are followed strictly in the group.

► Zakat, VAT, Withholding Tax, Customs Duty and draw back etc. are followed as per the GAZT regulations, in the group.

► Planning and budgeting.

► Provide financial information service to management.

► Ensure that Statutory Audit is finalized on time and Zakat, Tax returns, withholding tax, Customs duty draw back returns are filed with GAZT on time

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of:

► Relevant GFC experience in finance and accounting in large group of Real Estate, Retail and Manufacturing Industries in KSA and other Middle East Countries.

► First-hand experience of planning, budgeting, rolling forecast and Financial Analysis

► CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent

► Capital Investment Evaluations

► Consolidation of group accounts

► Working experience in computation and filing of Zakat, VAT and Withholding Tax returns as per GZIT regulations.

► In addition to the above, auditing experience in managerial level in “Big 4” auditing firms will be given preference.
