The Automotive Foreman is responsible for managing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring an efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and timely service delivery. This role involves leading a team of technicians, diagnosing complex vehicle issues, coordinating repairs, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkshop Management & Supervision
Oversee and manage the workflow within the service center, ensuring efficient job allocation and on-time completion.
Supervise and support a team of technicians, mechanics, and apprentices.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
Conduct daily briefings to assign tasks, address challenges, and set productivity targets.
Technical Expertise & Quality Control
Diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues across multiple brands.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the workshop team.
Perform quality checks on completed repairs to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair methods.
Customer Service & Communication
Collaborate with service advisors to provide updates on job progress, delays, and repair recommendations.
Assist in explaining technical issues to customers when needed.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and promptly resolving concerns.
Inventory & Resource Management
Monitor parts availability and work with the parts department to ensure timely procurement.
Oversee the proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections using CRM software.
Training & Development
Provide ongoing training and development for workshop staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in automotive repair and maintenance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge across multiple vehicle brands, including diagnostics and repair procedures.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in diagnostic tools and service management software.
Effective communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
Language Skills
Proficiency in English and/or Arabic is preferred.
Other Requirements
Familiarity with all types of service equipment and tools.
Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
