About the Company
Joga Ram General Trading L.L.C., part of the Joga Ram Group, is a leading supplier of building materials, timber, plywood, MDF, veneers, hardware, and related products across the UAE. We are looking for a detail-oriented General Accountant to support our finance team and ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.
Job Summary
The General Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and general ledger transactions. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in a trading company, with a good understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
- Process Accounts Payable (AP), supplier invoices, payment schedules, and vendor reconciliations.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain inventory records and reconcile inventory movements with accounting records.
- Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE accounting standards.
- Assist with audits, VAT documentation, and other finance-related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of UAE experience in accounting, preferably in a trading or distribution company.
- Sound knowledge of AR, AP, bank reconciliation, inventory accounting, and general accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP accounting software (ERPNext experience is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED4,000.00 per month
