THE HYDE DUBAI
Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences, part of the world-leading Accor group, is the first Hyde hotel outside of the United States, Hyde Dubai Business Bay, located close to the iconic Burj Khalifa and directly fronting the Business Bay canal and promenade.
The hotel features 276 rooms, all with balconies, including gracious standard rooms and luxurious suites with views of the Dubai Canal, Dubai skyline, and Burj Khalifa. It offers three culinary experiences:
Mediterranean concept Cleo Mediterráneo, contemporary Japanese from Katsuya, and hand-crafted burgers from Hudson Tavern. Additional amenities include The Perq coffee concept, a lobby lounge, Hyde pool & lounge, spa, male/female salons, fitness center, swimming pool, and retail area. The design of public areas, guestrooms, and Cleo is by Ciarmoli Queda Studio, while Katsuya, Hyde pool, and lounge are designed by Tristan Plessis Studio.
Job Description
Register and room all guest arrivals according to established procedures.
Perform check-in, check-out, and room change procedures, ensuring all data are accurately entered into the hotel system.
Maintain cashier float and ensure accurate daily reports of all money received.
Cash hotel guests’ personal and travelers checks and assist with currency exchange.
Keep abreast of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures.
Attend to guests’ requests for using the safety deposit box at all times.
Be knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures for programs such as Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers Programs, and Hotels Group Loyalty programs.
Attend to guests’ complaints, inquiries, and requests, referring problems to supervisor/Assistant Manager if unable to assist.
Be familiar with other Hyde properties to facilitate onward bookings for guests indicating future destinations on registration cards.
Ensure guests depart with a positive impression of the hotel service.
Perform audit balances and prepare reports for audit in an organized manner.
During night shifts, check the night report, prepare the morning report, and complete all necessary forms for guest arrivals.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of reservation procedures.
Uphold exemplary standards of behavior, appearance, and attitude in the department.
Keep the front desk work area clean and orderly at all times.
Be fully aware of the Credit policy.
Adhere to OH&S policies and procedures.
Perform related duties and any assigned special projects.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to develop rapport with colleagues and management.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Ability to promote positive relations with guests and patrons.
Good judgment in handling difficult guests.
Understanding of and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
