Financial Reporting Senior Specialist
Job Description
Assist in the development and review of periodical financial statements in line with local and international standards to keep the management and shareholders informed about SPL’s financial health, ensuring accurate financial information is provided in a timely manner to support decision-making and forecasts. Participate in reviewing all business units and SPL’s subsidiaries’ financial statement submissions and consolidate them into the organization-wide financial results, ensuring that revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts are accurately recorded.
Support in preparing and publishing schedules for periodic closing activities to inform all stakeholders, and follow up accordingly to ensure meeting the set closing deadlines for timely execution of closing activities and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Act as a trusted strategic and financial advisor and functional expert for SPL and its subsidiaries on all financial reporting matters, collaborating with business leaders to drive operational excellence and achieve overall strategic and business objectives.
May lead teams or projects within Financial Reporting. Solve unique problems that have a broad impact on the business and contribute to the development of the organization’s Financial Reporting strategy. Manage coordination with external auditors to provide all necessary information, documentation, and data needed for the completion of their audit assignments and resolve any outstanding audit queries to support external auditors’ tasks.
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or Financial Reporting management and is often regarded as a source of knowledge to other subordinates.
