Job Summary
As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a crucial role in providing urgent medical care to patients in various settings, such as urgent care facilities, Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. Your quick thinking and expertise will be essential in assessing patients’ conditions and administering necessary medical assistance.
Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide efficient pre-hospital care
- Perform patient assessments to determine the nature of illness or injury
- Utilize medical equipment such as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patient care
- Transport patients safely to medical facilities for further treatment
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Employ aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
- Demonstrate proficiency in heavy lifting when transferring patients
Experience
Required:
- Profound knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or trauma centers
