About the Role:
AURA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented ELV/CCTV Design Engineer to develop professional system layouts and technical documentation for premium residential and commercial projects across RAK and the Northern Emirates. We are an engineering-driven company where quality and precise planning come first.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and camera coverage analysis for villas and commercial buildings.
- Design comprehensive IP CCTV systems (ranging from small setups to 32+ cameras).
- Draft precise AutoCAD 2D layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable routing plans, and equipment schedules.
- Estimate cable distances remotely (using Google Earth/Maps) and prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
- Develop technical specifications for equipment procurement.
- Coordinate closely with the field installation team during project execution to ensure the design is implemented flawlessly.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Original, duly attested Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (mandatory for GRA/Hemaya technical team approval).
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in CCTV/ELV design within the UAE.
- Working knowledge of GRA regulatory requirements for security system design.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D layouts, SLD, schematics).
- Deep technical knowledge of IP camera systems (Hikvision/Dahua highly preferred), PoE networks, and NVR configurations.
- Hands-on experience conducting site surveys and interacting with clients on-site.
- Intermediate or higher level of English (both written and spoken) for clear communication with clients and the team.
- Valid UAE Driving License is highly preferred.
GRA/Hemaya Compliance Documents (required after hiring, before regulatory approval)
- Original passport copy + valid Emirates ID (non-UAE nationals: valid residence visa also required).
- Successful completion of the prescribed security clearance (CID).
- Registration and completion of the training course organized by GRA through an approved training provider, plus passing the technical exam at the end of the course.
Advantage:
- Experience preparing documentation compliant with SIRA (Dubai) and GRA / Hemaya (RAK) standards.
- Knowledge of Access Control and Video Intercom system design.
- Familiarity with UAE authority regulations (Civil Defence, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of Revit / BIM coordination.
