Electrical Technician Jobs in Doha at Qureos
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair:
o Motors and pumpso Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
o Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)o Switchgear and transformers
o Power distribution systems (LV/MV)
o PLC and SCADA-related electrical components
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical panels, breakers, relays, and control circuits.
- Assist in plant start-up, shutdown, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor plant electrical performance and identify potential failures.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work systems.
- Coordinate with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and spare-parts inventory.
- Support emergency breakdown maintenance on a shift basis.
Skills
- Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
- 3–5 years (or as specified) of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, or desalination plants, Oil & gas / industrial backgrounds are preferred.
- Knowledge of:
o PLC systemso SCADA systemso VFDs
o MCCso LV/MV electrical systems
o Electrical safety standards and procedures.
