Job Summary
Nad Alshiba Engineering Consultants LLC is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join our supervision team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in construction supervision and inspection of electrical works for building projects. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of UAE authority regulations, quality standards, and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor all electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and applicable codes.
- Conduct routine site inspections for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, emergency lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Verify that materials delivered to the site comply with approved material submittals and project specifications.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
- Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve site issues.
- Ensure compliance with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, and other relevant authority requirements.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Monitor site progress and ensure work is executed according to project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an Electrical Inspector on building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements, and relevant international electrical codes.
- Experience in supervising electrical works for residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inspection/reporting software.
- Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with engineering consultancy firms in the UAE.
- Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
