Electrical Engineer (Construction / Site Execution) Jobs in Abu Dhabi at INSPIRE BUILDERS GENERAL CONTRACTING COMPANY
Role Purpose
To deliver the complete electrical construction scope on site — LV power, lighting, distribution boards, containment, cabling, earthing, lightning protection, ELV/low-current and utility connections — in line with approved drawings, UAE regulations and the project programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation delivery Execute electrical first-fix and second-fix works: conduiting, cable containment (trays/trunking/ladders), wiring and cable pulling, DB / SMDB / MDB installation, wiring accessories, light fittings and final connections.
- Distribution & power Set out and supervise installation of distribution boards, busbar/risers, power and lighting circuits, small power and dedicated supplies to mechanical plant.
- Earthing & lightning protection Deliver earthing and lightning-protection systems and verify continuity and earth-resistance values.
- ELV / low-current Coordinate and supervise containment and installation for fire alarm, data, CCTV, access control, intercom and smart-home / BMS interfaces.
- Drawings & take-off Interpret electrical shop drawings, load schedules and single-line diagrams; prepare material take-offs and submittals.
- Authority & utility approvals Prepare for and attend electrical inspections with DEWA / ADDC / AADC / SEWA and Civil Defence; arrange metering and energisation.
- Testing & commissioning Carry out / witness insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, earth and functional tests; compile T&C and as-built records.
- Quality, progress & safety Raise inspection requests, control quality against specification, track progress and enforce electrical safety and isolation procedures on site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- UAE Society of Engineers / MMUP (UPDA) registration is an advantage.
- Authority-approved engineer status (e.g. DEWA/ADDC) is a strong advantage.
Required Experience & Skills
- 4–6 years with an electrical / MEP contractor on construction projects — buildings, villas, warehouses, parks or fit-outs.
- Hands-on delivery of LV systems from containment through energisation and handover.
- Solid understanding of load schedules, cable sizing, DB schedules and single-line diagrams.
- Familiarity with UAE wiring regulations and authority / utility approval workflow.
- Experience supervising electricians and subcontractors and coordinating with other trades.
Pay: AED3,500.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
