Doobak Baklava & Sweets, located in JVC, Dubai, is looking for an experienced Dry Sweets and Traditional Pastry Chef to join its production team.
Experience in preparing baklava will be considered a strong advantage, but it is not a mandatory requirement.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in preparing dry sweets and traditional pastries
- Strong knowledge of dough preparation, fillings, nuts and different baking techniques
- Ability to produce products with consistent taste, texture, weight and appearance
- Experience in high-volume production within a bakery or pastry kitchen
- Ability to inspect raw materials and maintain final product quality
- Good knowledge of ingredient management and waste reduction
- Full compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
- Organised, responsible, detail-oriented and committed to production schedules
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and guide junior staff
- Previous experience with a reputable bakery, pastry shop or confectionery brand is preferred
- Must currently be in Dubai or able to relocate and start working in Dubai

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare different types of dry sweets and traditional pastries according to company recipes
- Prepare doughs, fillings, nuts and other required ingredients
- Maintain consistent standards for taste, weight, size and appearance
- Manage preparation, baking and packaging processes
- Monitor product quality throughout all production stages
- Use ingredients efficiently and minimise waste
- Support the development of new products
- Prepare baklava when relevant experience and skills are available
