Located steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our hotel offers luxury accommodations to over 1.5 million visitors annually. Situated in the heart of Madinah near significant sites like Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and Quba Mosque, our hotel aims to serve as a distinguished destination for travelers.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Purchasing to join our opening team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee the Purchasing, Receiving, and Storeroom Departments, ensuring all hotel departments are adequately supplied. Your role includes market research for new products, cost management, maintaining integrity and transparency in dealings, and leading the department to meet operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Purchasing team, ensuring compliance with policies and internal controls.
Manage all purchasing contracts, bids, and agreements, ensuring fulfillment of terms.
Conduct quarterly reviews, prepare forecasts and budgets, and oversee inventory management.
Support safety initiatives and sustainability programs.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel purchasing, strong cost analysis skills, and a solid understanding of internal controls and accounting principles. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential. Candidates must demonstrate integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation and problem-solving abilities, and a passion for professional development.
