Clinical Lab Technician plays a critical role in patient diagnostics by performing complex analyses .This role involves the preparation of specimens for examination, utilizing advanced automated equipment, conducting multiple intricate tests, and accurately interpreting results to support clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
Perform a variety of tests, including molecular ,hematological, biochemical, serological, and other specialized analyses, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Verify test outcomes by reviewing patient history and prior test results to ensure consistency and reliability.
Conduct routine quality control checks daily on all test systems, ensuring accuracy and validity of results.
Participate in proficiency testing programs and support the laboratory accreditation process.
Assist the laboratory manager with additional tasks as needed.
Conduct phlebotomy procedures when necessary.
Stay updated on the latest laboratory practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing relevant publications, building professional networks, and participating in industry societies.
Foster effective collaboration and communication within and between departments to maintain a seamless workflow.
Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment by following established safety protocols, including infection control and hazardous waste management.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies, protecting both patient and clinic data integrity.
Understands, follows and supports all Laboratory infection control programs
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, microbiology,chemistry, biology, or a related field.
Active DHA license to practice as a Clinical Medical Laboratory Technologist.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Highly skilled in the precise manipulation of laboratory equipment and test materials.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
Capable of staying calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills, especially when working with high-expectation patients.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present information systematically and ensure follow-up as required.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Should have experience in molecular department.
Practical exam will be conducted for molecular division.
Preferred: Experience working in CAP, ISO accredited laboratories
