Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead and manage design and engineering activities for modular construction, precast concrete elements, and industrialized building systems (IBS). The ideal candidate will oversee multidisciplinary design teams, ensure compliance with UAE standards, and deliver innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective construction solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design and engineering activities for modular pods, precast elements, and construction systems.
- Coordinate Architectural, Structural, MEP, Precast, and Production teams to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
- Review and approve concept designs, shop drawings, BIM models, and production drawings.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, UAE authority regulations, and applicable international codes.
- Drive value engineering, design optimization, and standardization initiatives.
- Manage RFIs, design changes, and consultant/client comments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support factory operations by providing practical and manufacturable design solutions.
- Provide technical support to production, procurement, project, and site teams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders on technical matters.
- Lead design reviews, constructability studies, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.
- Mentor, develop, and lead the design team while promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of UAE construction regulations and international engineering standards.
- Experience with modular construction, precast concrete, and industrialized building systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of UAE Codes & Standards (ACI, BS, UBC, etc.).
- Proficiency in Allplan (Nemetschek 3D Modeling).
- Experience with ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, and other structural analysis software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM) and Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) requirements.
- Experience in BIM and Modular Construction Methodologies.
Experience Required
- 10–15 years of experience in Modular Construction, Precast Concrete, Industrialized Building Systems (IBS), or Off-Site Manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a Design Leadership or Design Management role.

Pay: AED30,000.00 – AED35,000.00 per month
