Dental Hygienist Jobs in Dubai at My London Skin Clinic
The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventive and supportive dental care to patients, maintaining excellent oral hygiene standards, assisting dentists during procedures, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring all clinical procedures are carried out safely and in accordance with DHA and clinic guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Care & Assessment
- Conduct initial oral hygiene assessments and record relevant patient information.
- Assess patients for plaque, calculus, gingival inflammation and other oral hygiene concerns.
- Take and maintain accurate clinical records as required.
- Identify abnormalities and refer patients to the dentist for further assessment.
2. Preventive Dental Care
- Perform professional teeth cleaning, scaling and polishing.
- Provide preventive oral hygiene treatments as permitted under the scope of practice.
- Apply fluoride and other preventive treatments where clinically appropriate.
- Provide appropriate periodontal maintenance and supportive care.
3. Patient Education
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing and interdental cleaning techniques.
- Recommend appropriate oral hygiene products based on patient needs.
- Explain the importance of regular dental check-ups and preventive care.
- Provide personalised oral hygiene instructions to patients following treatment.
4. Dental Assistance
- Assist dentists during dental procedures when required.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials before appointments.
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilised and ready for use.
- Support dentists with patient preparation and chairside requirements.
5. Infection Control & Safety
- Strictly follow clinic infection-control and sterilisation protocols.
- Maintain proper PPE and clinical hygiene standards.
- Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are clean and prepared between patients.
- Follow DHA and clinic policies regarding infection prevention, patient safety and clinical documentation.
6. Patient Experience
- Provide professional, friendly and reassuring patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
- Communicate treatment and aftercare instructions clearly.
- Address patient concerns appropriately and escalate clinical concerns to the dentist when necessary.
7. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Document procedures and treatments performed.
- Ensure all activities remain within the hygienist’s approved professional scope and privileges.
- Comply with DHA regulations, clinic policies and professional standards.
8. Clinic Operations
- Maintain adequate stock of dental hygiene materials and inform management of shortages.
- Ensure dental instruments and equipment are handled appropriately.
- Support smooth patient flow and efficient appointment management.
- Participate in clinic training, audits and quality-improvement activities.
Pay: AED10,000.00 – AED15,000.00 per month
