Job Purpose:
Plan, design, and implement an integrated compliance program for RUA and monitor the implementation of compliance policies and guidelines across the organization to ensure Regulatory Compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and direct the implementation of the department strategy ensuring alignment to divisional strategy, RUA’s vision, mission, and corporate objectives
Oversee the consolidation and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Manage and ensure effective design and implementation of RUA’s Compliance policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve an integrated compliance program for RUA to ensure adherence to Regulatory Compliance.
Develop policies, procedures, and measures required as written guidance to staff on the appropriate implementation of compliance laws, rules, and standards (e.g., compliance manuals, codes of conduct, practice guidelines, procedures and controls, training, and communication).
Collaborate in Designing RUA’s Delegation of Authority matrix and identify compliance obligations to clarify the various authorities, enable decision-making, and facilitate the compliance process.
Develop and implement a risk-based compliance monitoring process to identify, assess, and report compliance risks and appropriate mitigation approaches.
Conduct periodic awareness sessions and workshops and frequently communicate with all functions across the organization to ensure awareness of compliance policies, processes, and relevant updates on external regulatory requirements.
Conduct periodic evaluations of RUA’s operations in terms of compliance and prepare relevant reports in order to highlight any significant gaps and non-compliance with the defined compliance program, policies, and frameworks.
Manage the coordination and oversee the regular inspections conducted by external regulatory entities and follow up on any corrective actions to be taken based on the inspection outcomes.
Monitor and review the internal and external environment in order to identify opportunities for improvements on RUA’s compliance procedures, systems, and controls.
Represent RUA in relevant interactions with third parties (e.g., regulatory authorities, asset/venture partners) to maintain and enhance RUA’s reputation while protecting the organization’s interests from a compliance perspective.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or any other related field.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Professional certifications or master’s degree is preferred.
